Austin, TX - Omni vs. Radisson?

Hi ya'll - could use some advice about which hotel to stay at in Austin, Texas next month for a girl's weekend getaway (yes, we realize it'll be hot as heck!)

I hear the 6th St district has become overrun with college kids, and that 4th St. is more laid-back. However, all but one of us are first-time Austin visitors, so we're hoping to get the flavor of downtown. We figure we'll bike to Barton Springs one day, spend some tmie at the hotel pool, do Rainey St one night, do downtown one night. We're late-20's/early-30's and a little past the rowdy-college scene, but not quite at the bed-at-11 scene. Want live music, good beer, good crowd.

We'd like a hotel that's walkable to most stuff, while realizing we'll have to cab to some activities/restaurants. The prices are basically same for the Omni and the Radisson, so that's a wash. Here's our pro/con list looks like this - would *love* input!

Omni: more luxurious hotel; closer to 6th St bars/restaurants; nicer pool; possibly better/more spacious rooms
Radisson: bigger pool; closer to 4th St/our spa appointments one day; easier cab to Rainey perhaps

Honestly, it may be 6 of one/half-dozen of the other - but curious as to your thoughts.

Thanks so much!

Without knowing anything about these 2 specific hotels, in general, Omni would be my choice over Radisson any day. Tripadvisor tends to agree
