Austin Healthy Mexican

Hi. Anyone know of a mexican place that does not use lard? Thanks.

Lard is usually used in refried beans and some Mexican foods offer veg.re-fried beans. Mexican food can be a part of a healthy lifestyle if you order a la carte. I do it all the time in Austin.

Check out Maria's Taco Xpress. They have Vegan dishes, so that would mean no lard:

I liked their tacos, queso and the music on the patio when I was there last fall.

I should clarify my statement on Maria's. The no lard comment would be in the vegan dishes. I don't know about their other dishes.

Mr. Natural is a Mexican restaurant with two locations in town and is entirely vegetarian. It's one of my favorite places.
