Austin GTG?
 

I will be in Austin mid-September and am wondering if anyone is interested in a GTG Saturday, September 17, 2:00P-ish at Hula Hut www.hulahut.com, or, open to suggestions. We're staying downtown at the Hilton.

I'm there, count me in. :-)

Possibly. I am possibly volunteering at the Austin City Limits Music Fest that weekend. If not scheduled that day and time, I'll be there.

Do you have a room? It's a VERY busy weekend....

We are a definite maybe. Last drive through it only took us 40 minutes from our house to downtown. No excuses!

Much as it pains me, I will not be in town that day. I will be in Atlanta, though, and plan to attend (schedule permitting) the Atlanta GTG scheduled that same day. Maybe we can get a couple more places to schedule for 9/17 and we can do a Fodor's wave....

OO, that would be great! "Make sure no one brings matches" --what and take what little joy I have away?! Imagine my excitement when I learned from the Poison thread that dryer lint can be used as an accelerant!

Patrick had a place with a web cam..that'd be fun! dcespedes and I will be the one with the candles :D and she will have the collected dryer lint sticking out of her pockets!

Dryer lint, false teeth, warts and the wave... have we scared everyone off? This may be the first GTG where we have to bribe fodorites to attend. I have a gorgeous like-new Fodor's luggage tag and it could be yours if... ;-)

Just back from a trip and saw this posting. Of course we'd love to come; but you MUST change the date. I'm a bleeding orange Longhorn through and through, and the 17th is the first home game of the season at 6pm. Tailgating starts very early for home games, so that day is out for us.

Hi kopp--unfortunately, I'm going to be in town for just a few days and will be gone by Sunday morning. Saturday afternoon is really the only time I have available. I hope your team wins!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it this September in Austin (love the Hula Hut, though!).

We live near DFW - I don't know if you knew that - and have tons of small obligations in September that will keep us here.

But thanks for thinking of me! I keep hoping I'll be able to make one of these GTG's but so far my "free" dates haven't coincided.

Aww, you guys are making me jealous! My only consolation is that we'll be in England, but I'll lift a glass to you all that evening. Try not to scare the locals.

Grab a tissue, alert the media, halt the parade...due to circumstances and events beyond our control our trip to Austin is cancelled so I can no longer make the GTG :)>-

What a bummer. It looks like I'm the only one who gave a definite "yes," so I suppose we'll have to do it another time.
