Agree above about Top of the Rock. Superb view of both sides of Manhattan. The big plus is less line ups and the view of the Empire State Building makes a great background for photos.

Leslie - My wife is hearing impaired and I raised the idea of a Broadway show with her, she thought she'd probably miss too much. Plenty of free nights though so if she sees all the lights and the theaters and changes her mind we'll see what's available. Planning to go up Top of the Rock, but I would still like to see Empire State from the ground.

When I say the Met, I meant the museum. Didn't know that the Opera house went by the same name. We'll definitely try and make it to at least the Met, MoMA and the Nat History Museum.

Thank you Grandma! I didn't even think about that! That sort of technology isn't really widely available where we're from. I'll do a little more investigation into that...
