ATV/Duning near Portland, Oregon

Ok, so I know about the Sand Dunes on the coast, but they seem terribly far from Portland. My Dad wants to go on an ATV or Dune Buggy ride. Any suggestions that are near to Portland?

Thanks!
Karen

The closest place to Portland that I know of is Florence- and that is quite a drive- but it is very fun

I've never seen ATV dune rides outside the Florence/Newport areas or further south. Been on that road many, many times.

We have rented Dune Buggies at Sand Lake near Tillamook, but it appears, from the internet, that noone is renting from there anymore. In any case, if you can rent your own dune buggy, you could do it from there, and it is a lot closer to Portland than Florence.

There are ATV trails and rentals places in the Bend area.

Scarlett and Kim recommend the same website! They've finally agreed on something! What's this world is coming to? :))

I don't think they agreed on anything, Faina, except that Spinreel is near Coos Bay. ;-) If the person recommending it had looked at a map, **she'd** have seen that Spinreel is further from Portland than anything else recommended. /:-)

beachbum is correct as always.
I was not recommending the site, only noting its location.
