Atlantic City Boardwalk safe at night?

How safe is it to walk from one hotel/casino to another via the Boardwalk at night?

It's kinda sketchy. I've never had a problem, but a buddy of mine and I took a couple grand from a BJ table at the Taj and had to walk down to Caesars at 4AM and didn't feel safe at all with that amt of cash on us.

WE walked once from the Sheraton over to the Boardwalk hotels at night. I would not do that again.

Stay on the Boardwalk and you should be OK....

Boardwalk most likely IS safe; the city fears the negative publicity and loss of business that would occur if there were a serious crime problem so patrols are fairly rigorous. But I have to admit that it doesn't really feel safe unless there's a good crowd out there.

Depends what time of year. Summer, everyone is out & about at all hours. Winter, it's more sparce. You can always take one of those rickshaws, or the jitney. Plenty of security guys are lined up on the boardwalk, though.
