Atlantic City-best hotel

Unfortunately, I have to visit for work for one night. What would be the best place to stay at.

Unlike Las Vegas, most Atlantic City hotels are fairly non-descript.

I haven't been in awhile, but if you don't get any other responses, i'd go with the Taj Mahal... it's near a few other casinos so you can explore and have other restaurants within walking distance, and it's one of the newer hotels on the boardwalk (although it's been around for QUITE a few years, i don't think there has been other casinos built on the boardwalk since then).

check out the Borgata - it is brand new, and I think very nice.

definitely the borgata. avoid any of the trump casinos, including the taj, b/c they are basically bankrupt and have gotten very run down.

The Borgata is beautiful! We stayed there in Nov. and I can't wait to go back. AVOID the Tropicana. Yuck!

Caesars is very nice and is on the boardwalk so you can walk to lots of different places. The Taj is also nice. I've been to both a few times this year.

I've never been to the Borgota, but it on the Marina side, so if you want to hit the Boardwalk, you'll need to drive or take a cab.

Have fun!

HAD fun, I think. The question was for the year 2002.

The Borgota is the newest and nicest, but it's not on the boardwalk. Ceasars and the Hilton are nice on the boardwalk.
