Now L, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Underground Atlanta one of the original areas that's left from the Civil War? I'm surprised you would treat such a thing so lightly.<BR><BR>As for the stadium, granted in the end it wasn't a great baseball stadium, but it was an example of late 1960's American baseball stadium architecture (a rare thing nowadays) and represented Atlanta's sports history: "Hammerin' Hank", the rise and fall (and rise...and fall) of the Braves, Chief Nokahoma (or however it was spelled), Steve Bartkowski, etc. It would be nice if a father could've taken his kids there and said "I was here when..." like they can do in Chicago, New York and Boston, but apparently a new Olympic Stadium/Turner Field with a view of the skyline is more important.<BR> <BR>But at the end of the day, this is just my opinion. If all of you who live in Atlanta love it, then who am I to rain on your parade? Just make sure you all take lots of pictures, because that special place you know and love today may be a Marriott tomorrow. <BR><BR>
