Atlanta to Dollywood, by bus?

Hello, I've won a holiday to Atlanta and Dollywood! Lucky me. A hire car is part of our prize, so we can get to Dollywood. But neither I nor my companion can drive. Is there any other way to get there? Buses? Car-share? Anything?

What's a hire car?

It's a car that you hire... like from Hertz or Avis etc.

A hire car is a car rental.

Caspar, what about hiring a driver to take you to Dollywood? There are many limo companies in Atlanta. You may have to kick in some money of your own but it may be your only choice.

Unless you are just crazy about going to Dollywood, I think I would see if I could sell the ticket. Being without a car or having to hire one, seems inconvenient and pricey.

I would skip Dollywood and stay around Atlanta unless you are into going to a large tourist trap - the only redeeming quality of it being that it is in the Great Smoky Mtns.

As one who was in Dollywood recently that seems an awful expense to go there. There are a few roller coasters and water rides but Dollywood has more shows than rides. Dolly's people do put on a good show and there are quite a few of them but that seems a big burden for somebody who doesn't drive. In summary if you want to ride rides there are better parks probably closer to home. If you like shows the park is all right but I am not sure it is worth the headache. Good luck
