Atlanta Restaurant and Cigar Bar Rec's Needed
My husband will be in Atlanta for a few days and is looking for an upscale steakhouse/fine dining experience for entertaining clients. Afterwards, a cigar bar with a nice single malt list is in order he says! Not interested in the dance scene but a little jazz or music is nice.
He'll be in midtown but can cab it to other parts of town if a reasonable distance (15-20 min). Any ideas?? |
Bone's.

Here are more choices, but still think Bone's is a great option for what he is looking for -

The best (upscale) steakhouses are Bones and Chops. Both are in Buckhead, a 10 minute cab ride from midtown.

Thanks! Checked out Bone's website and looks great.
I know there are a lot of nice restaurants but any others he shouldn't miss?? Thanks |
I like the Buckhead Diner for variety and quality. It's a great place to entertain -
http://www.buckheadrestaurants.com/diner.html - as are any of the others you can access from that website. The Buckhead Life group are some of the best restaurants in Atlanta. Can't go wrong with any of them (Chops, the other steak house mentioned, is owned by them as well). |
And, tell him to order the Homemade Potato Chips with warm Maytag Bleu Cheese. Their signature appetizer, and it is wonderful!

Thanks everyone. Sure wish I was tagging along on this trip! Great website, btw.

The best "oakroom" type of bar (perfect for scotch and cigars) is in the lobby of the Four Seasons. You could eat at Park 75 across the hall but it is more haute cuisine than steaks. Bones is good and so is Chops(and there is always Mortons too. Wherever you go for steaks don't miss the bar at the Four Seasons afterwards!!!

Thanks JWH. I sent your info to him today. Said it sounded perfect!
Thanks for you help. Beachgirl |
FYI:
the smoking police has banned cigar smoking (or all smoking) at Bones. Hopefully, the website will update who actually allows cigars. |
