Atlanta Fodorites - help with mall choice!
 

I am staying at the Omni/CNN for a week and would like to knock out some Christmas shopping while I am here.

(2) 30ish professional woman would be going via MARTA after 4pm - probably staying out until the mall closes.

I've been to both the Lenox and Buckhead mall, but not from this location.

Would you recommend taking the MARTA from Omni to Buckhead or Lenox?

(not a regular MARTA rider)--but, I'd take MARTA to the mall, but take a cab back--especially if you have lots of purchases--why advertise for trouble?

Have to agree with taking a cab back. Lots of teenagers that are huge hanging around the mall and Marta station. Doesn't your hotel have a limo service?

I agree!Take a cab! I live in Atlanta and would not ride the MARTA after shopping! The MARTA stop is a block away from Lennox and Phipps Plaza! Have fun!!

I wouldn't hesitate to take the MARTA after shopping unless I had too much to carry.

Lenox Square Mall is in Buckhead. The other mall in Buckhead, across the street from Lenox, is Phipps Plaza. You can either exit Marta at the Buckhead station or the Lenox station. The Lenox station is slightly closer to the mall, a difference of a half block.
