Atlanta Airport Hotels

Am trying to find out all hotels located at or extremely close to Hartsfield International Airport. Also, any experiences at these airport hotels would be appreciated. Thanks.

Michelle,

I believe there is a Hyatt at the airport. I also think there are a couple of other large hotels (Hilton's, etc.) although I'm not sure. If you plan to stay close to the airport just make sure it is a nice secure hotel. Those neighborhoods immediately around the airport are not the safest. In fact I know someone who was attacked at a Days Inn close to the airport. I wouldn't stay in one whose rooms are accessible to anyone coming through the parking lot. In fact, I'm not sure I would stay in that area at all.

Wanda,

Thanks so much for your reply. Never having been to Atlanta, safety is something I need to you. I am staying in the airport area since the only reason I will be in Atlanta is to fly out the next morning on an international flight. Anyone else on recommendations or where not to stay?

Michelle, I've been to Atlanta several times, just to stay at the airport hotels. There are several right around the airport. Like Wanda mentioed there is a Days Inn which is North you DONNOT want to stay there. Like she said it's not in the best of places. There is a Hilton, Howard Johnsons, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, Radisson, and there is also an Econo Lodge. I stayed at the Econo Lodge ONCE it was sooooooooo disgusting I had to DEMAND my money back and went across the street to the Crowne Plaza for a MUCH MUCH better room. So stay FAAAARRRR AWAY from the Econo Lodge and the Days Inn. The other hotels I mentioned are very resonable and very nice. All of which are in the hotel so you donnot enter from the outside. The Red Roof is VERY nice and VERY clean (only because it's new.) Those are my recomendations if you want any other information just let me know I'm down there Atlanta for business! Have a good flight.

Michelle, I've never stayed at any of the hotels. However, I have heard great things about the Atlanta Airport Hilton and Towers. (I've also walked through it, and it looks very nice.) It's supposedly the only 4-diamond airport hotel in the US (if I have my facts straight.) So if it's in your budget range, go for that one.
