Aston Waikiki, Pacific Beach or Ohana Lainai?

I've narrowed it done to these hotels. Which is the best location-shops, restaurants, buses(beach not important) and value-My budget is $135/nite. Have anyone stayed here. The Aston seems favorable but is not shown in Frommers new guide book??????

We just came back and really liked the Aston Waikiki Sunset, we had a 1Br condo with full kitchen for $139 with a mountain view. 1Block from beach.
However, we got the best rate from AAA Discount Travel, their rate was even better than the hotel's rate, their phone number is 808-394-1212.

I've stayed at the Aston Waikiki Sunset about 3 times & the Pacific Beach Hotel once. The Aston is a condo property, so lots more room & kitchen. Pacific Beach is a nice hotel, but still just a hotel. Pacific Beach is right across the street from Waikiki Beach & Aston is about 3 blocks away. I've also stayed at the Aston Pacific Monarch, which is a condo property about 2 blocks from the beach. I'd go for the Aston Waikiki Sunset because of the extra space & ability to cook some meals if you want to. Aloha!

Are you talking about the Aston Waikiki Beach? Its just been totally renovated. Great location right across from Kuhio Beach Park, Wolfagang Puck Express, nice Tiki Bar. The rooms are kinda small, ditto the pool and the lobby. The location is perfect, tho. The rooms in the rear tower are awful---avoid.

Pacific Beach is not that great in my opinion, it has no tropical ambience. But also has a good location and a giant 3 story aquarium inthe lobby.

Ohana Reef LAnai is in a slightly different area as the above two--near Fort DeRussy. The hotel itself is OK, I think it's also had a recent renovation.
