Asparagus 88cents a pound
 
It must be Asparagus season. Markets throughout California are advertising asparagus at from 88c to 99c a pound this week.

In other news....the California drought will bring about a shortage of avocadoes next season with avocadoes expected to triple in price. The Chipotle restaurant chain is scrambling to figure out where they can find the 18,000 tons of avocadoes that they will need next year.

Wow, that IS a great price. It's on sale here, too - only at $2.49/lb. It was $3.99/lb pre-sale.
