Anyone done this tour lately? I am not a strong kayaker, although my husband is. I did get seasick on Trilogy boat back from Lanai... and zodiak on Kauai Na Pali coast...should I even try this? It is in the morning and goes to La Perouse, aquarium and fishbowl.

Coteacher: Did you do this trip or get any advice? We are leaving for Maui in 2 weeks and have this as a question mark? Neither of us has Kyak-ed before but we're 34 and athletic, and love to snorkel and heard this is a great activity and snorkel location. Should we do it?

Did you have your trip yet coteacher, are you back and could you report? Anybody else?

I didn't realize they were allowing kayak companies back to aquarium and fish bowl...very heated debate on ecotourism. We used the company Maui Kayaks and the day of our trip the surf was up so it was a full body workout for 5 hours. I would suggest reviewing the cancelation policy and at the last minute check the ocean condition forcast and cancel or go for it. One day may be high surf the next day glass.

They're not, gyppie. There are no commericial activities legally taking place in the reserve area, but old info still exisits on website and in guide books.

My wife and I kayaked 2x with Maui Kayaks. Very cool company. We plan to visit again next year and will do the same. Gippielou, you are right about the weather, to check it first. But this company did reschedule our first trip to another day because of the weather. We love Maui Kayaks!
