Asheville in late March?

How might the weather be? We're not flexible because of mandatory work vacation.

It may be very warm and sunshine or rainy, grey and cold with some snow on the roads. Really, for the end of March come prepared for any kind of weather and enjoy the area. Bring summer, spring, and winter clothes.

The blizzard of 93 occurred in mid-March, and I've seen significant snow as late as April 1.

Dressing in layers is the key since it can be ten degrees difference between Asheville and the higher elevation (Parkway, Mount Mitchell, etc.).

So, in 4 days we experienced 3 seasons! No kidding. One day it snowed like crazy (but didn't stick), another it was like 50 degrees, and the day we left it was going up to 72! Glad we brought different clothes.

Layers! Layers! Layers!

Truly - you just never know.

Have fun!

It's me, again. We went to Asheville in late March, and we experienced 3 seasons in 4 days. First day, we had a one hour blizzard (didn't stick, but it was snowing up a storm), 2nd and 3rd day it was in the 50's, and the day we were leaving it was going to be 72 degrees. We did, indeed, need summer, spring and winter clothes!
