Asheville area 1st week in November

I am planning my first trip to NC for the 1st week in November. I will be staying in Balsam. Can anyone tell me if it will be too cold to sightsee? I know the weather is unpredictable, but am worried about ice.

The leaves will be gone by that time, but you should be OK for sightseeing.

It will be cold/chilly, just make sure you bring a jacket. Ice is usually the worst in Dec-Jan-Feb. (not that it can't happen in Nov, just highly unlikely....)

The first week in November, the leaves may still be there! We were there last year at that time and they were still at peak, but it depends on the weather. It will be perfect sightseeing weather, especially if you're coming from a warmer climate and like the crisp air.

1st week in Nov is still short sleeve weather during the day, 90% of the time.

(Pack something for that other 10%, though)

You will still have leaves on the trees. Peak will have passed but it will still be very pretty!
