Art supplies store - who knows?
 

I am traveling to New York next week and would like to know the address of a good art supply store in Midtown. Near Roosevelt Hotel if possible. Thanks.

Pearl Paint is the best and worth the subway ride. There are 2 locations, the bigger store is on Canal Street. They also have a smaller store on E. 23rd St. Their website is www.pearlpaint.com. There are smaller, more pricier stores in various locations.

MFNYC is correct but if you don't
wish to schlep downtown, there
is Irving Berlin at 14 E 37th, right off
of Madison - 212-532-3600 is their
number so you can call to make sure
they carry what you wish to purchase.

Pearl is the best but there's also Lee's art supply at 220 west 57th and
Sam Flax at 425 Park Ave (around 55th st.)

Check the yellow pages for other stores in the area. There are also a couple off just west of 5th Ave, so you might check the yellow pages for the addresses.

You are staying at a very centrally located hotel, so you won't have a problem finding a bus or subway.
