Please do a trip report on your art adventure in and around Philadelphia. That is a trip I would like to take and I really want to hear about your's.

I was at the Portland Museum of Art last summer and really enjoyed it. You can also take a tour from the museum to the Winslow Homer studio. While it's not art, I also went to the Henry Wadsworth Longfellow House. Portland is a great city with a nice area to walk around along the water and good restaurants.
This summer I went to Mass MOCA and the Clark Institute, in Williamstown, both of which I also enjoyed. (I also went to the Williamstown Theatre Festival, which I highly recommend.) Although Mass MOCA, as its name implies, is very modern and you really have to like the art of Sol LeWitt that's on display. I went to the Norman Rockwell Museum years ago and thought it was terrific. |
"Norman Rockwell Museum in Rockbridge"
Fixing the typo in Ozark's post, it is in Stockbridge and is definitely worth a stop! |
Just came across this thread and it's too good not to top!
