Arriving Florence train station

We will be arriving by train to Florence and need to get to the apartment we are staying in that is located on Lungarno Acciaiuoli right near the Ponte Vecchio. IS the train station far from there? What is the best way for us to get to the apt from the train. What should we expect to pay? Thank you for your help!

Florence is a very walkable, compact city. It is probably about a fifteen or so minute walk from the train station to the Ponte Vecchio. However, it would depend on how much luggage you have, as well as how familiar you are with where you are going before you arrive.

It might be easier to get a cab if you have more luggage than you can easily handle on the walk. Also, if you do walk, have either good directions or a good map to know exactly where you are going.
