Arriving EWR- which flight should I choose based on traffic to Manhattan

Flying in to EWR on Nov 21 (Saturday before Thanksgiving). I have choices to fly into EWR at 5:03pm, 6:21pm or 7:18pm. There are four of us so thinking probably cheaper to just take Carmel Car Service rather than the train. We are staying in Soho. Originally I was definitely planning on taking the earlier flight, but then started thinking about traffic at that time - it is on a saturday so will it be an issue? Or should we take one of the later flights?
Thanks!

If you take a car service rather than taxi. …. it will be flat rate. Traffic may be annoying but it won't cost your more.

I don;t think will matter on a Sat - and since the later flights arrive into EWR typically the later they land (I don;t mean later landing time - but how much later they are than scheduled) I wouldn't want to be pulling into Manhattan at 10:30 or 11 pm - makes for a very long day. (Or you can check the on time schedules for those specific flights.)

There will some traffic coming in from the Jersey burbs on a holiday Saturday night. I would opt for the 5:00 PM.

Weekend traffic is nothing at all like weekday commuter traffic. I would not try to pick a flight time based on Saturday traffic patterns, but rather pich the one that got me into Manhattan the earliest so I dould enjoy the evenig in the city.

Sat before Thanksgiving is not really any sort of holiday. And if the flight is supposed to land at 5 pm it will be 6 or 6:30 by the time it actually does, you get your luggage and get into a car - so no reason for a whole lot of traffic then.

Agree, baring an unforeseen traffic accident on the road you happen to be traveling on, traffic into Manhattan on Saturday evening isn't going to be much of an issue so don't let that be a deciding factor.

Pick the flight that's meshes best with your other plans for that day/evening.

Yes, there are often air traffic delays coming into (and out of) EWR so you could actually be landing later than schedule not matter which flight you take.

Thanks, mostly wanted to hear that Saturday traffic shouldn't be an issue so will go for the early 5pm flight. We do carryon only so should be on the road even earlier!
