Armchair travel - Photos from the USA

The idea has worked on other boards here, so why not post some pictures from the US to help us put together a "wish book" for travel once we're past these grim days? For example...

Great shots indeed! Here's something a little different than I usually shoot, I had been looking at these recently.

Thanks for the photo album. It brought back happy memories from the time when we could travel. It seems like it was very long ago.
I tried to post from my IPad, got one to attach but it took a while

Being cooped up at home, it is a release to see the outside world through all the photos on the forum. I love the US National Parks and state parks. Here are some that I had visited through years. Name them if you can. I will put in the states visited.

Cherthor--Loved the OR and WA pics you posted. Born and raised here, so know all those places. The first one from the visitors center at Johnston Ridge really made me smile. I love going there and seeing the changes since the mountain blew. I remember that day and the ash coming down on our house.

I am filling hours by scanning old slides and photos (I have thousands) which I then inflict on the world online with the slightest of reasons. But here's an interesting one, of Mt. St. Helens (foreground) and Mt. Adams back before MSH went kaboom. It was one beautiful mountain.

Inflict away Gardyloo!

Fodorite018 Mar 29th, 2020 09:08 AM

Gardyloo--Yes, it was a beautiful mountain! I think a lot of people do not realize just how big it was. I don't have any slides, but have so many photos that I need to get onto the computer, so thanks for the suggestion. Since all of our hiking trails are closed right now, I might as well do that!

Mount Baker? It was taken from a clear day on Mount Hood. WA states is very beautiful. I have been trying to go back and visit but get side tracked to see the other parts of the world.

This is one of the most beautiful state park that I had visited. The behind waterfalls trail is really special.
