Arizona in December
I am beginning to plan a family trip [2 adults, 14 yo and 18 yo]to Arizona for the end of December. I am wondering if there are any activities, such as a jeep tour in Sedona, that are not available in late December?
We will be going to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Phoenix and Tucson. We plan on hiking where possible, seeing Indian ruins and enjoying the varied natural areas of Arizona.

Don't know how familiar you are with AZ weather that time of year, but average daily high temp in Sedona is 55 with low of 31, Phoenix is 66 and 41.
It gets very cold at night, and snow is common in Sedona in late December and January.

Jeep trips and other activities are available year around, so you'll be in great shape....hiking will be perfect at that time, any other touring should be perfect, much better than many other places during December.

The rim of the Grand Canyon is pretty chilly in December (for us Californians anyway). Since the South Rim is at 7000', the average Dec. high temp. is just about 40 F. and the average low is about 17 F. I was once camping at the rim at the end of Nov. and it was 11 F. and snowing - not exactly what I'd had in my (not too well-informed) mind ...
