Arizona Biltmore?

Any thoughts as to the Arizona Biltmore? We'll be visiting the area in October (with no kids), and we're wondering how this place compares with, in particular, the Hyatt Regency Gainey Ranch. Where would you stay in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area? Thanks!

I have never stayed at the Hyatt, but the biltmore is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. See if you can get one of the rooms not attached to the main hotel. Do a search and you'll my many raves about this hotel.

To be in a masterpiece of F.L.Wright is one of the advantages of the Biltmore.
The numerous pools, all differents and
the quality of the furniture are superb...
Don't miss it.

They did a segment on the Biltmore on Travel Channel's "Great Hotels". It did indeed look great!

The Arizona Biltmore is one of the most amazing hotels I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in a bunch.

The service is superb, surroundings breathtaking, architecture stunning, rooms are excellent, you feel like you are in another era staying there. The kids will love the 800 foot long pool with the giant slide.

Stay there, do not even hesitate!

Forgot to add, I think Nina stayed at the Hyatt Gainey Ranch, visited the Biltmore and would have rather stayed there. Do a search on the Hyatt Gainey and you should find the post.

I owned a business at the Arizona Biltmore for many years.....moved to NY & have returned as a guest many times since!!
It is superb!!
Try to book in the "Paradise Valley Wing" or go all out & book a Villa.
Ah... to sit around the outside bar area & smell the mesquite burning in the firepit...one of the few things that I miss about Phoenix!!
The Arizona Biltmore is truly an oasis....a bonus it is centrally located.

ps Technically it wasn't designed by Frank Lloyd Wright..he was the consultant to Albert Chase McArthur.

pss....don't forget to ask about the many "spirited visitors"

Thanks, to all, including Bailey.
Can you clarify as to why you recommend the Paradise Valley Wing? Now that I've selected the Biltmore, any information concerning room location would be helpful, if you have time. Since I have never stayed at this resort, I'm at a bit of a loss. Thanks again!

The Paradise Valley Wing has larger rooms....suites!! It is in a newer area....as are the Villas. The Villas are 2 bedroom condos.....they are a little seperated from the main property.
Don't get me wrong....I normally like Old-world charm but at the main building of the Biltmore...old-world charm also means smaller rooms, located nearer the sometimes noisy lobby.
The Biltmore also offers Cottages, with patios...these are also nice...but older!
The property blends beautifully...you won't be able to tell the old from the new, by glance. But upon entering the room the one difference will be noticed, SIZE.
ps.. Early October or late?....I'm pushing for later.....early October it'll still tip the temperature scale at 100....and may eliminate the firepits!!!
whew.........

Thanks so much, Bailey. Your help is much appreciated. Also, in answer to your question, I'll be there in early October, but the temperature won't bother me. Since I live on the East Coast, I'm looking to extend my summer as long as possible!
