Arizona

Hello, my best friend and I have been wanting to travel to Arizona for the longest time and we are looking to make this dream a reality, we want to go in January since we will have off from school then. Is this a good time to go? Also we want to see the Grand Canyon but don't know much about the surrounding areas...does anyone have any ideas for an itinerary for about 5 days ( including the grand canyon and any other points of interest in Arizona) thanks!

Arizona has very varied weather in January. In Phoenix and Tucsom, it should be sunny and mild temps. In Flagstaff, there can be snow.

Grand Canyon will likely be cold so plan for that.

Since you mentioned school, I am guessing your are " young" -- what kinds of things (besides GC) do you want to see a do?

5 days may to give you a lot of options, since you do have to have alternate plans if there's snow.

Are you planning on driving th AZ or flying in and renting a car? If renting a car, you age may be a consideration.

Since this has been a longtime dream of yours - you must have some ideas where/what you want to see/do? What made this a dream ?

I guess when you start so many posts, you forget which ones you've already posted:

I hate to wake up to angry posts such as the preceding. I hope I'm not alone.

Nope, not angry.

I just think it's a shame that people are wasting their time helping people who are just time-wasters. I'm pretty sure this one has posted under other names too. The excuse for planning a dozen or so trips for the next year is that they are for other people in their family. And he/she is quick to jump on people who express doubt about their "travels".

Please feel free to ignore my post and add your info about Arizona.

Elberko... What gives you the right to judge any poster or any post? This is a public forum... If you feel like you are wasting your time, just move on... Personally , I like lots of Arizona posts... The more the merrier!!!!

Click on the OPs name and peruse the topics she has posted. Elberko has a valid point.

I followed elberko's observation on travel96's activity
96 has a dozen posts from US to Europe and all seasons.

I vote with elberko on this case.

Now for travel96, I suggest purchasing some Kindle book. They are exceptionally cheap. After reading them, then ask for specific ideas/comments.

On Amazon, enter: Kindle Arizona Travel. Fordor's has both Kindle and print book. There are 33 pages of other books.

That's like trying to ignore being cornhobbled.
