Aria or Bellagio?
Which hotel is the nicest? Best spa? Best location?
My husband and I are going for 3 days.. Late March. We are 39 and 43 years old. Love to dine, gamble a little, and we are planning on going to a show... Probably O. Any recs on anything... Greatly appreciated! |
I have not stayed at either, but I would probably pick Bellagio. The Bellagio looks more grand in style. The casino and lobby areas are impressive. I do not spend time in Aria at all because the whole steel and glass "City Center" complex is just not very appealing to me. It's too modern, maybe? Not much style? I keep telling myself that I should give CC a chance but don't. I'm in Vegas annually for a convention. Been inside only once. Been in Bellagio many times. Just my own opinion.

The Bellagio would be somewhat better-located IMO.

The rooms at Aria are amazing but don't love the rest of it. I'd go with the Bellagio.

Do you look at the Cosmopolition too? Next to Aria. I thought that had the nicest atmosphere/cleanest smell of all the casinos I walked through last month. (Didn't walk through Wynn/Encore)

We stayed at the Bellagio and liked it a lot; our room had a great view of the fountains. Good restaurants and a beautiful little pastry/chocolate shop.

Spa = Caesar's Palace was great.

Bellagio luxurious 65,000-square-foot setting for the spa and oh the fountains! More central to the pulse of Vegas. M Life is great when you stay Bellagio! O and if you are going to stay there entertainment is in O-rder Add a first-class touch to your Cirque du Soleil experience with an exclusive and intimate backstage tour, premium center section seating, front-of-line access to the theater and concessions, exclusive Cirque du Soleil merchandise including the "O" CD and much more!

I'm at Aria right now and love both the rooms and spa. But Bellagio is nice as well. I do think Aria feels more manageable in size. I'd choose whichever gives the best rate. There ate a lot of good deals in March. However, I'd give the nod to Aria for the spa.

We used to love Bellagio - and still do love looking at the fountains (lunch/dinner on the patio of Olives overlooking the fountains cannot be beat - same for Picasso - looking through the windows), great pool, the Palio coffee shop, the huge chocolate fountain in the Patissiere, the Artobeteum, and so forth.
Now we prefer Wynn/Encore - depending on the deal of course. :) Aria/Cosmo, etc - are nice - but to me they are more about the younger, party type crowd - so if you like that - great. They also have some very pretty areas. They all have top end restaurants, and great spas - but Steve Wynn also took care to try in put in some more reasonably priced faire options - and we loved Noodles at Bellagio - and they have a smiliar one at Wynn. |
BTW - others prefer the Venetian - and their "new" addition the Polazzo. Definitely get over to see the Venetian and if you are feeling up for a treat - take the Gondola ride. :)
