Look for the highest real estate prices and you will have your answer ;)

I don't know about raw numbers and crime stats, but where I would feel the most safe would be the following order:

Orange County - south or coastal only - inland OC like Santa Ana or Anaheim would be the higher crime areas.

Parts of South Bay LA near the coast - you get close to Inglegood or Crenshaw and it gets dicey.

Pasadena & San Gabriel - yes it's rich and safe - but there are also pockets of lower-income neighborhoods that may be victim to Asian gangs.

Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and the Hills are about the same (relative to where you live, of course!)

Again, with any area, you just have to pick wisely. Look for places with less junky type cars on the street (or worse, cars on the lawn! LOL). Look for places without bars on the windows and no graffiti. The better the retail stores, the better the area sometimes. And, check out a neighborhood AT NIGHT, too. Don't just look at it during the day.

One of the problems with your list is you are comparing apples and oranges here. Glendora is most probably has the lowest crime area of all the placed you mentioned, but it is a small, upscale bedroom community, that also happens to be a part of the San Gabriel Valley. You are lumping Fulleton and Pomona into one category, and they are not only geographically removed, but demographically as well.

What are you looking to do?

If you read over Mr_Bing's only other thread I think you'll see he really doesn't know what the heck he is trying to do . . . . .

1) He's dreaming ?

2) I'm wondering where he compiled the list, the phone book ?
