Are wineries in Napa Valley open on Labor Day?

I just realized that I scheduled a long weekend getaway to San Francisco/Napa Valley on Labor Day weekend.
But are wineries open on Labor Day (September 4th this year)?

I am sure they will be opened and awfully crowded!

This must be a good sales day for them!

Have you booked a place? Labor Day weekend will have most hotels full, most wineries very crowded, and the roads through the Napa Valley very congested.

Yes they will be open and, as Faina & janisj said
the valley will be VERY crowded. We Wine Country locals find it is a good day to stay home and have a bbq !

Expect the weather to be on the hot side.

Yes they will be open on Labor Day. They want your money, and YOU, not THEY have a holiday.

Consider looking at the Sonoma Valley, rather than the Napa Valley. It will be crowded, also, but not as much as the "zoo" atmosphere in the Napa Valley. And do your lodging bookings, like, NOW. If you are interested in my advice, google.. elpuebloinn.com..for the charming town of Sonoma, historic, built around a plaza from the Mexican era. Also here....Innatsonoma...and, for more upscale...MacArthurPlace...or, in historic hotels on the Plaza itself, try the El Dorado, the Sonoma Hotel, and the Swiss Hotel.
