Are there taxis easily available in Myrtle Beach?

We may go to Myrtle Beach and are wondering if taxis are easy to find. Has anyone been there recently without a car?

Easy to find? There are plenty of taxi companies you can call, but it would be pretty difficult to just hail a cab.

Thanks. I am looking at possibly taking my parents there but I don't want to drive. They are 75 yrs old and I don't think they will be able to rent a car. Taxis would be our best option.

You can get taxis easily at the airport. You can call a taxi service when you need to go somewhere. If you find a driver you like, you can get his card and call him when you need to go somewhere.

I have recently looked into taxis there (as in going to Litchfield from the airport). There are a lot of companies and Starrs's advice is good. Why don't you think they could rent a car? I can't imagine doing MB by cab unless they are just going to stay in their hotel and go out to dinner.

Myrtle Beach is not a difficult community to drive in. I hate big cities (ATL, etc) but I can navigate around MB. MB does not have good public transportation and is really spread out.

Thanks for your replies but I don't think I want to go to Myrtle Beach. I'm grasping at straws trying to find somewhere to go.

Go to Charleston, Savannah, or St. Augustine.

What are you looking for? A beach location? Town? Historic? Other?

Charleston is easily managed without a car unless you want to go to the beach. It's extremely hot right now, so keep that in mind.

Based on your other thread, Myrtle Beach is NOT what you are looking for if you are looking for a destination similar to the Caribbean.

Look at gulf coast beaches. If you are still traveling with your parents, look at this -
