Are There Cheaper Hotels in Key West?

I am looking to stay two nights in Key West and only find places at $120 and up a night. Anyone know of a place that is $100 or under a night?

What time of year?

We never do this, but we waited last minute.......very last minute. Next week!

Looking at either 21-23 or 22-24 (just two nights)

Fantasy fest, I doubt you will find anything cheaper and if you did you probably wouldn't want to sleep there.

Thanks. Found El Patio Motel for around $109 a night. Waiting to see if they have any rooms open.

El Patio requires a minimum 4 nights that week except one room for minimum 2 nights at $269 + tax per night. WOW!!!!

Looking at Ibis Bay Resort. Website shows $133.88 for the one night I want.

Fantasy Fest is the busiest time of year in Key West. You're lucky you found anything!

Add me to the group that is astonished anything would be so cheap for the biggest event of the year in Key West. I hope it's "stayable".

Don't forget to ask about a discount if you are a senior citizen or have an AAA membership. That will get you 10% off.

SusanCS Oct 20th, 2013 01:51 AM

I wouldn't count on any discounts during Fantasy Fest!

We used Priceline and got a nice place! Worth checking out.

FWIW One year I was looking to stay in Key West for a week. I realized that joining AAA for a year and using the discount more than paid for the AAA fee.

El Patio opened some rooms the day before we were to leave and I was able to book it for two nights for around $119 a night on one of the discount travel sites (I think Travelocity). El Patio was just fine for our stay. We walked all around the area, the grounds were nice, and the rooms good, and the customer service excellent. Would stay again!

Even during "the busiest times of the year" people actually cancel rooms!!!!
