Are there any cheap trips to Anywhere from the East Coast??

April is nearly upon us and I haven't booked anything to anywhere for the impending April vacation week. Everything was expensive a month ago and of course it didn't get any less expensive as time went on.

Anyone see any discounts for trips to anywhere? Europe is good, Paris, London, Prague, Rome would be good.

U.S. would be great; west coast fine.

Not looking for a trip to Mexico, Florida or to an all inclusive resort anywhere though.

Are there any deals out there? Budget is meagre this time: Under $3,000.00 for 2 people (not pp) including flight and hotel and under $2500.00 would be better. Car, if needed, not included in this price.

I can't be the only cheapskate looking for a great deal for this school vacation!
Thanks in advance in case I am!

There are many hotel/flight deals in April out of New York that are ~$1500 for 2. West Coast, Caribbean, etc.

Hawaii is ~$2000-2500 for 2.

Europe is more expensive because of the flights.

Do some research on Expedia or Travelocity, etc.

One of my favorite places is the world is only five hours from the East Coast, and there are reasonably cheap packages available:

If you eat hot dogs, even the food doesn't have to be to expensive--but most food is a bit pricey! (picnic time...)

classic.mapquest.com Front Royal VA to Skyline Parkway to bluridgeparkway.org to Great Smokies NP cheap pretty and low spring breakers all are at the beach cheapest way to go for me.

Southwest.com "wannagetaway" fares to ABQ/Santa Fe Taos visitsedona.com Grand Canyon nice carrentals.com forthat would be more. Priceline.com bid cheap nice hotels in route.

priceline.com Hapuna princeresortshawaii.com packages from $1kpp for me in the past. lajolla.com west coast beaches\
more expensive crowded at spring break though.

Happy Hunting!

Thanks, everyone! Last year at this time I was able to book flights to San Francisco for under $400.00 pp. I know I'll not find those prices this year.

Where on the East Coast are you traveling from? If you are near an airport where Southwest flies I would check fares on that airline.

I can leave from NYC, Boston, Providence or Hartford. I'll check the Southwest site. Thanks!
