Are teenage girls likely to enjoy Billy Elliot?

I'm going to get tickets for Billy Elliot for January 2011.

Does anyone know whether that play is likely to be enjoyable to 17 year old girls? (Thinking of taking my daughter and her friend)

Thanks for your help.

We saw Billy Elliott in London with our 2 daughters during our last family trip and it was awesome! They loved the experience! Our daughters were college-age when we took them. Did your daughters like the movie Billy Elliott? If they enjoyed the movie, the musical is EVEN BETTER!!! Haven't heard anything about it in New York though...we saw it in London.

Speaking as a former teenage girl, I think I would've loved it. Especially if they're 17 - go for it.

Yes, I think they would like it. It has a good storyline and great dancing.

Yes, I think teen girls would love it - esp if they have any interest in dance.

I saw it with my niece when it opened and she was 15 at the time and loved it. She just needed a little help with "translating" some of the British words!
