Are Lyfts available in Boston around 4:45 am?

My son is taking the midnight bus from NYC to Boston tonight, arriving at South Station at 4:30 am. He needs to get to our house in Concord, and we'd rather not drive in to Boston to pick him up at that hour, if possible. I suggested he take a Lyft, and we'll pay for it - I know it will be kind of expensive, but worth it (up to a point). However, I'm a little concerned about whether there will even be any Lyfts available at that hour - the subway won't even be running yet! Does anyone here know whether Lyfts are likely to be available at that hour of the morning in Boston? Thanks.

There may be a wait, but I’ve taken early morning Lyfts to the airport in Boston.

I would be more worried if a driver would be willing to do the drive. Could he get another fare at the crack of dawn in Concord who just happens to want to return to Boston? Or do they have to drive back empty?

I agree, I think that's more the question, whether anyone will do that which is a lot different than going to the airport.

What was his plan when he decided to take a bus at that hour? I guess worse comes to worst, he can just wait until the MBTA ftrain starts running around 8:30.

I suppose there is a reason for this, but it would make a lot more sense for him to take an earlier bus, seems like there are plenty, in order to be able to catch the last train around 11:30 pm from Boston to Concord.

Pretty sure that Lyft drivers don’t know where you are going until the ride starts. I know for a fact that they don’t have much leeway to turn down rides, lest they get kicked off the app.
