Your response interests me as I have had a similar experience.
My company recently moved its annual Global Conference workshop from the usual Las Vegas venue to Amsterdam. This was done specifically because of the new visa issue
In regard to your business, I am curious as to whether this organization expressed a possibility of moving the conference to a location outside the US?

Hello
just picked up on this thread, on the whole in my travels I would have said pre 9/11 that USA immigration were surly and seemed to work on the guilty to proven innocent - after 9/11 there have been times where I have felt almost "scared" at the attitude shown by both check in staff and immigration -to the point where, travelling with my Father who is both friendly and in his 70's I have told him not to speak till spoken to
This might not be want immigration want but I would have to say on the whole (not a few that has been said here!) the feeling when you enter immigration is one of worry.
Personally I dont object to reasonable measures that a country needs to take to protect is citizens and visitors, but I do think that the people who commit attrocities have scored a few points by making travelling and arriving in a country like the US ( home of the free) an event that you feel scared.
Saying all of this - no one is going to stop me coming over to the states with my folks at Christmas and having a bloody good time! hopefully we can give Immigration a bit of cheer!
