Arches Devils Garden
Dear all
I am planning a road trip with a visit to Arches NP in June. Now I've read that the road in Arches NP will be under construction and that the Devils Garden trail will not be accessible. Is Arches NP then still be worth a visit (without the Devils Garden)? If so, does anybody can suggest a rv campsite outside the park as the campsites in the park are closed? Thank you! Jeanique |
Google is your friend. http://www.highwaywestvacations.com/...es/canyonlands
The rest of Arches is really worth seeing. Go to the Island in the Sky section of Canyonlands as well. |
The only changes at this NP are that (1) the campground will be closed and (2) the road into the park -- and thus the park itself -- will be closed from 7pm to 7am most nights. Other than these two restrictions, the park is still one of the most amazing sights to visit in the country.

We did not visit Devil's Garden and had more than enough sights in the rest of the park.

You will have no regrets with Arches or the surrounding area.

There are RV campsites (plenty) in Moab in commercial campgrounds. There are some camping spots for RVS along the Colorado River on Route 128. These are administered by BLM, I believe. Visit their website to see if you can get reservations????

> Visit their website to see if you can get reservations http://www.discovermoab.com/campgrounds_blm.htm is pretty unambiguous: "No reservations are accepted." Also "RV Sites have no hook-ups." And none of the campgrounds have either flush toilets or any drinking water available. This would be a good place to start: http://www.discovermoab.com/campgrounds_private.htm |
