Arches & Canyonlands-How much time?
I am planning a last minute trip to Arches & Canyonlands NP's. I'm flying into Grand Junction where I will rent a car and drive to Moab. On the way I'll be able to visit Colorado NM. Once based in Moab I'll visit Arches, Canyonlands & Dead Horse St Park. My primary activities will be sight-seeing (of course) and some light hiking. How many days do you think is needed to see these parks?

You can easily spend the entire time there. I recently spent a week and could easily go back for another week doing completely different stuff.
My suggestion is that you consder spending a day at Arches, a day at Canyonlands Needles District and a day at Canyonlands Island in the Sky. Once you've done that, use any other available time to go back to your favorite of the three.

I can easily find enought to do in the Moab, Utah area for 5 to 7 days.
I like to spend two days in Arches and get as many short hikes in as possible. One day at the Island in the Sky District and another day as mentioned in the Needles District.
If you are coming from Grand Junction get off Interstate 70 at Cisco and take scenic Hwy 128 into Moab. If you come from SLC, then make a point to drive out to Fisher Towers on Hwy 128. Other scenic drives in the Moab area are the Potash Road (Hwy 279) that runs along the Colorado River going west. This route is scenic and has petroglyphs. On the other side of the river is Kane Creek Road that also has many great petroglyphs and a different scenic view of the Colorado River canyon.
There is also the La Sal mountain loop which goes up into the mountains.
We also like to rent 4 wheel jeeps and find some of the easier - beginner roads to go exploring in the area.
There is just tons of stuff to do around Moab. Here is a great website:

Thanks everyone for the great info! Looks like I'll be flying into Grand Junction afterall. I've highlighted all the scenic routes mentioned.
Is it worth driving to National Bridges Natl Monument or is this too long of a haul?

Take a Hummer tour on the Slick Rock Trails with Moab Adventure Center. It was the highlight of my entire 10-day trip a few months ago. Cost was approx. $75 for about a 2 1/2 hour tour. The trail called Hell's Revenge was the main destination.
