Aquarium on Maui

Is the Aquarium on Maui worth the $20 entrance fee?

Maui Ocean Center is worth the admission price IMHO $)

Absolutely! They offer kama`aina and AAA discounts, and they also have a combo package with the Pacific Whale Foundation that includes the Ocean Center and a PWF Eco-Adventure for one price.

Yes, I think it is worth it. One thing to remember is they close at 5pm. I think it might change to 6pm in the summer. We made a mistake on trip to Maui in 2002 - thinking we would go to the Aquarium on our last day since it was near the airport and we had a late night flight - but when we got there they were closed. Had to wait two years to see it again in March 2004. It is awesome. Our boys still talk about it.

Yeah, I liked it alot better than the Waikiki aquarium. The gift shop was nicer, they had a tiger shark there along with a hammerhead too. I found some of the exhibits at the Waikiki aquarium rather poor. Some of their freshwater tropical fish looked really unhealthy, especially the pirahna.
