APT HOTELS IN NY
 

Would like to take my teens to New York in July and think an apt hotel would be more economical for a family of 6. Any suggestions?

It's unlikely you will find any single suite that can accommodate 6 people. The cheapest option I can think of is Radio City Apartments. You rent 1 2-bedroom unit that can sleep 4 and a studio that can sleep 2. You will not find a 3-bedroom apartment in NYC, and most 2-bedrooms limit occupancy to 5 adults (teens count as adults here).

You can fid hotel suites (NOT rooms) that will hold six - usually a bedroom with 2 double beds and a sofabed in the living room. Some - check affinia.com - have 2 bedroom suites so you get a second bath.

I'm always hesitant to do apartments, which are often sublet illegally - and then you don;t get the hotel services.

Another place that will have two double beds, plus a sofa in the living room, is Murray Hill East Suites. Or you might want two suites, so you have two baths.
