Apache Junction AZ area

Looking for any suggestions for unique places to eat, enjoy drinks or hike in the Apache Junction area. We are retired and outdoor adventurous type people. Are there a lot of biking trails? Planning on visiting the area mid February- mid March.

We drive past there going up to the Mayo Clinic but never have stopped. It is in a rather remote location. But perhaps we look for different reasons to chose a place.

Hi
I haven't spent time in that area in a long time. You should be able to find trail maps at any local cycling shop.

There are a lot of hikes toward the Superstition Mountains but I cannot recommend one by name.

Hopefully this gets some people with more details to join the thread.

It is just an area by itself just outside of Phoenix. It is a huge, huge trailer park. My mother and husband would drag a trailer from Nebraska down there every winter. They loved it. Big pool, lots of organized and unorganized activities for seniors. Dances almost every night. It has an appeal to a retired group.

Not sure if poster is considering staying in Apache Junction? Or just going there to hike? It’s 35 miles east of Phoenix. There are better places to visit.
