S.W. FL- Most Secluded Beaches?

What are the most secluded beaches in S. West Florida?

Thank you.

These two are in west central FL, rather than south coast, but are more secluded than Sanibel/Captiva: Ft. Desoto a state park just south of Tierra Verde, and Caladesi Island, just north of Clearwater.

Caladesi isn't a true island anymore as a storm closed the cut. My husband and I occasionally run up there--6 miles rt from Clearwater. There is no road up, and if you're not inclined to run it gt;, you can catch a ferry over from Honeymoon Island.

For secluded southwest FL coast my vote would have to be for Boca Grande.

Thank you for the replies. I would be interesting in going during fall or winter, so the central coast wouldn't be warm enough.

Does anyone have any experience w/ Mermaid Home on Captiva (www.captivavacation.com)

I would like to know what people think of the following accomodations I found online which look like very good values. Most of these appear to be on or near beaches that appear quite secluded.

Thank you for any info.

Siesta Key is, for all intent and purpose, Sarasota, same weather as Clearwater/St. Pete area (DeSoto/Caladesi). Don't know how late in the fall you plan to come but we are still swimming with the Gulf temp 85. Cold front will make it through today dropping our highs from 90's to upper 80s.
