Anyone stayed at Treasure Island, Las Vegas?

The Treasure Island Hotel has some great rates for December, but I haven't been able to get any personal opinions - good or bad. Thanks for your input!

Hi Lisa. I stayed at Treasure Island for a week earlier this month. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is beautiful, and our room overlooked the pirate battle. I would definately recommend a room on that side, as the crowds on the street watching the battle were huge. Other than that, we found hotel to be convienent walking distance to the Mirage and Ceaser's. The other hotels down the strip can be easily reached by the CAT bus. My recommendation, if you can get a great rate, go for it. We had a great time!
PS: The Cirque de Soliel show is a must.
We stayed there in November 98, and at the time it was a second choice, the Mirage being sold out. I was concerned that it would be hokey - like staying in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" ride at Disneyworld. It was great. Tastefully done, lovely rooms. We're going back in a couple of months and this time it's our first choice. Terrific location, rates, and it's not overrun with people staying at other properties just coming to "check it out" like they do at Mirage, Caesars, etc.

I recommend this hotel highly. It is very nice, clean, and within walking distance to other main hotels on the strip. Do not eat in their cafeteria unless you want to wait more than half an hour for a meal. Good hotel rate for the quality of the place.

My husband and I stayed there on our first trip to Vegas last year. Loved the place and not kiddish at all! We enjoy walking and walked the whole strip in both directions; saw all the Hotels. Going again over the New Year but Treasure Island was full, staying at Exalibur this time. Hope we're not disappointed.
