Anyone stayed at Old Red Inn Conway New Hampshire

I am looking for clean reasonable room in North Conway or another town near by in the White Mountain area of New Hampshire. Has anyone stayed here or can recommend another place.
Thanks

Hi Mmouse,
There are a lot of places to stay in North Conway. A lot depends on what time of year you are going and what you consider reasonable. Most of the places to stay are reasonable in my opinion (e.g. less than $150) compared to larger cities. The Old Red Inn is not as quaint as it might sound. There are several B & B type places that are very nice, and there is a Holiday Inn Express if you are looking for a chain hotel.

If you go midweek, offseason you can get really good prices at some of the hotels which also include breakfast. One place is the White Mountain Resort Hotel. Although weekends in-season can be expensive, they have good deals offseason and midweek. And they also have deals that include golf if you are interested. Have you tried a search on Expedia or one of the other travel sites? If you do that and then check back here with the names of some of the places you are interested in, I could give you the "lowdown"...

I am going in July taking my 6 year old grandson. I decided on Colonial Motel. It is just a basic room but looked OK on the internet site it did have good reviews on trip advisor. We will be staying 4 nights and figure most of the time we will be out sightseeing.

We stayed at Whitneys Inn in Jackson a few years ago, which is only a few miles away. Reasonable price, clean rooms (a little small, but not bad). Nice little resturant in the inn.

What about THe Lodge in Jackson? That was quite nice several years ago; not sure of current pricing.

Jackson is the best place to stay - quaint little New England town, away from traffic, 2 minute drive to Storyland and 15 minutes from N Conway center for those who are addicted to the shopping outlets.
