anyone stayed at Baymont Inn in Ann Arbor, MI?

I know this is a mundane question, but we have to be in Ann Arbor for 9 nights at the end of June. We need cheap, because that really adds up. I found Baymont Inn for $70 a night. It is not on campus or downtown but I don't care about that. What I do need is comfortable sleeping for 3 related adults. Baymont has King bed and sleep/sofa plus micr/fridge, and brkfst. It is new and I can't find a review. Any input would be appreciated.

I've stayed at many of the Baymonts in MI. They are a good, inexpensive way to go. Having the microwave and fridge is a real plus. There breakfasts are decent but might get old after a few days. Have never been to the Ann Arbor location but I haven't stayed in a bad one yet.

I agree with the previous poster regarding the Baymonts in general - I stay at Baymonts in WI all of the time and they are clean and a great stay for the $$$.

I cannot review the Baymont in A2 since it is new, however I thought I would offer an alternative that I have stayed at before and that is the Extended Stay. It is a few years old and also offers suite type rooms with a mini kitchen. I believe they are cheaper than $70 per night, though they do not offer b'fast. They are located in the area within the mall - not far from everything!

Is it the Baymont on Carpenter Road? I live about 3 miles from that. It's brand new. Nice place and easy expressway access. Location is not close to downtown, but only 10 minute drive. Many chain restaurants and starbucks right there. You;ll be happy with it!!

Yes the Baymont Inn is on Carpenter Rd.
Thank you pricessanna. I figured the location would be okay, that fact that it's new is good. (I have heard about other "new" hotels that were really just takeovers without much improvement, if any).
Our alternative is the Microtel on Plymouth Rd. We have stayed there before, and it's not bad, but not great for 3. The Microtel is $10 less per night, and I was hoping the Baymont Inn would be worth the splurge. Thanks again.

I haven't stayed in this particular Baymont either, but in general they are a good value. At $10 difference I wouldn't even consider going to Microtel.

I think you'll enjoy the area of the Baymont better than Plymouth Road. There are many restuarants and shops within 3 miles. (Red Lobster, Yotsuba (great sushi), Chilis, Potbelly, Bob Evans, Whole Foods, DSW, Old Navy, Starbucks, etc.) In general it's a busier area than Plymouth Road. It's a brand new hotel versus a remodel. I hope it works out for you.
