Anyone seen the show "Puppetry of the Penis" in NYC? Or planning to see when it opens in SanFran (10/29/02)

The other night I watched the "Tonight Show" and Jay had two guests, a couple of guys from Australia that have worked up an act called "Puppetry of the Penis". I kid you not. They further explained this is NOT a porn or sex show; rather it's "genital origami". I found their website, plus another site on which their NY show was reviwed (they were in NYC last year, Oct-2001). They're planning on opening a run in a couple weeks in San Francisco. I'm sure this post will get a variety of oddball responses; honestly, it sounds wacky to me. Has anyone actually been to their show?<BR><BR>http://www.nytheatre.com/nytheatre/pp.htm<BR><BR>http://www.puppetryofthepenis.com/tour.html<BR><BR>

I saw it here in NYC last month. It was really just good penis joke fun. 2 average looking humble australian guys naked (except a cape, tennis shoes and a microphone)doing oragami type stuff. Its all pretty innocent. Id recommend it.

English friend saw it at the Edinburgh Festival in September, so it's an "international" event. He said it was pretty funny.

Watch "Real Sex" on HBO this month. They are featured in all of their "glory." I hold my crotch thinking about how much that appears to hurt...

Saw it in NY. Amusing, but not worth the money.

Saw it as well.<BR>Amusing for about 5 minutes tops.<BR>Unless you're under age 22 or extremely repressed sexually, it is kind of a waste of time.<BR>I was bored. Worst criticism I can think of.

I have friend who was taken to it unawares by a friend of hers. She's not prudish in any sense of the word - her reaction was.... yawn. She described it as novel and amusing for about five minutes and then the long wait for it to end.

I think it's playing across from "The Vagina Monologues" and around the corner from "Menopause~A Musical"

Thanks for all the input (yuk, yuk, yuk). I've seen VM and was wondering whethering it'd be worth going to watch the "guy monologue". Sounds like this show is more suited to Howard Stern's program and not worth paying the $$$.<BR><BR>
