Anyone recommend

San Diego, Palm Springs, or Baja for a winter
(January, February) vacation? IF so, where would you stay?

I recommend a better header so you'll get better responses! But, given the choices I like San Diego. Big city with plenty to do and great weather!

Brandy, went to palm springs in February. Fabulous hotel. Was not exactly sunny but it wasn't bad and we couldn't use the pool. BUT we had a great time at the Renaissance Esmeralda in Indian Wells. The best chance for sun in CA in Jan and Feb would be in Palm Springs. The two weeks after we left it rained in So CAL. We flew into Onterio and rented a car. Drove to Palm Springs in our shorts in the cold on Friday and returned the car to Onterio airport in the pouring rain but Palm Springs stayed fairly dry.

Brandy:

I would be glad to provide some Palm Springs suggestions but I need a little more information regarding what is important to you. Do you like "mega resorts" with a lot of people and amenities? Little romantic, historic hideaway type places?

PS L

Dear Brandy:

My thoughts...
1. Palm Springs - desert, classy casual style, small town
2. San Diego - beach, anything goes style, large city
3. Baja - desert and beach, casual and perhaps classy depending on your hotel, small town

Kim.
