Anyone Live in West Palm Beach?
 

A co-worker is taking a month off work to go help with insurance claims in West Palm. He is leaving Sunday, and says he's not sure where he's staying yet. I'm wondering if anyone in the area can reccommend a place to stay for a month that won't break his budget? I'd like to give him some leads before he leaves. Thanks in advance.

I did a little checking on some of the extended stay places but they are all full... I'm guessing displaced residents are staying at most of the hotels, etc.

Austin, of course they're full -- of people whose homes were destroyed or damaged, and who are filing those insurance claims!

People who've been forced into these areas for work are finding that they have to commute. The best places to stay are going to be places that were not so impacted by the storm.

Go south, young man.

...and many can't return home until they get their insurance estimate/check to start the repairs. What a vicious cycle! The Domino effect of hurricanes.

Best bet would be to try to find something in Fort Lauderdale area. Most of it is back to normal and I know there are some hotel rooms available.
