Anyone "here" seen American Idiot on Broadway?
 

I'm thinking of taking my 16-year-old son to see American Idiot while we're in NYC. His little sister will see Mary Poppins (again) but I thought he'd be more interested in the other. I don't know anyone who has seen it -- if you have, what did you think, and is it OK for a 16-year-old boy?

Yes, it's definitely a show for your 16-year-old son.....assuming, of course, he's a fan of Green Day!

We saw it. Yes, son loved it. It's an hour and a half long, no intermission, somewhat "gritty" in that it has simulated drug use (shooting herion, cocaine), similated sex, lots of profanity. Glad the little sister went to see Mary Poppins.

George Bush is on Broadway . . Amazing!!

My 17 year old son and my husband loved it. I was not as impressed but they are bigger Green Day fans than I am.
