Anyone have luck using Priceline for Hawaii resorts???
I'm considering using Priceline to book hotels on the Big Island and in Maui for my October vacation. Just wondering if anyone has had luck doing this, what types of fares they recieved, and if they'd recommend it.
THANKS!!!!

We used Priceline for a portion of our Maui trip last summer. We had great luck, got the Sheraton Maui for $145 per night. Check biddingfortravel for current bids, they are probably similar this year.

In planning a trip to Oahu, Kauai, and the BI this past March I ended up using Priceline in Oahu but Hotwire for the other two islands. Hotwire is a bit higher, but by looking at their vacation packages you can figure out exactly which hotel you will get.On the BI we wanted the Hapuna, not the Hilton which is what you could get through priceline.

I just got the Sheraton Maui Hotel for November on Priceline for $140 a night.
It's getting really good reviews. I checked Expedia, Travelocity and Orbitz.
All of them have $245 a night as the lowest price.

I used Priceline last year for Oahu and Kauai. Paid $110 for Kauai Marriott (resorts) and $100 for Hawaii Prince (4*). Also used Priceline for car rental. Good luck, like Pumpy said, check out biddingfortravel.com. Another site is betterbidding.com.
