Anyone have AA frequent flier miles to sell me?

I am trying to book a flight from Boston to LA for the end of the month, and need to travel on American, unfortunately. The fares are ridiculous? Anyone with tons of ff miles want to exchange my $ for your miles?

How many do you need? I know they claim they're not worth much, but since I save mine up until I have 90,000 to get myself a free business class ticket to Europe, that means they are worth about 7 cents each for a $6000 business class ticket roundtrip to Europe. If you want 25,000 for a trip from Boston to LA, I'd consider selling them to you for $1750. Will that save you money?

Selling AA miles is against AA's rules. If you get caught, they will confiscate your ticket and any remaining miles you and the purchaser have and cancel your AAdvantage accounts.

Try calling American (couldn't find this info on their website) they've started a new program where you can purchase frequent flier miles - don't know if that would be cheaper or not.

Anything will be cheaper than paying Elaineb $1750 for 25,000 miles.
By the way selling and buying miles from the third party is a scam and if you caught...........

Not sure what American's rules are. I have used other peoples miles on Delta and United with the AIRLINES CONSENT. All you do is have the owner of the miles call and ticket the miles for the purchaser as if they are giving them away. They allow it, and don't ask what your compensation is as long as nothing seems suspicious. I would be willing to exchange miles for a reasonable price if interested and if American rules allow it.

If American allows the exchange of miles, general rule of thumb (sorry Elaineb) is that frequent flyer miles are worth $0.02/mile. Good luck karen with your search.

How $$ is the purchased airline ticket? Have you tried all airports in LA? ONT SNA LGB BUR ? Other travelers tell me 350 is the breaking point to buy a ticket rather than use miles.WHy do you have to fly AA?

Not so - my husband and I recently tried to combine our FF miles for one free ticket - AA would not allow it - he could not "gift" me his miles unless he had enough for a full ticket........other airlines handle it differently, we have combined our FF miles before.
