Anyone have a favorite Sunday Brunch spot in Savannah? Beaufort?
We will have a self catering rental when in Savannah, and mostly will have breakfast there. But one morning, probably Sunday, we would love to go out for a great brunch. Checked out the Westin, great menu, but $40 per person, more than we would like to spend. Any suggestions? We will be staying in the North Historic district, would love to walk, but we will have a car, so we can drive if a special place.
Another possibility would be around Beaufort as we plan a day trip one day.

Saltus Grill in Beaufort or Wren's (might be fun given your screenname)
Pink House (high end) or Le Papillote (cheap, but great) in Savannah.
Have fun. And do read Daniel Williams' first rate trip report, if you have a chance. He is a marvelous writer.

I love it that you appreciate my writing, cmcfong! These trip reports being unpaid are truly a labour of love and knowing my thoughts don't end up in an unobserved void in cyberspace with comments like yours make the writing all the more worthwhile! Happy new year to you!
wrenwood-- If you're OK with casual & inexpensive but a friendly spot popular with Savannah locals, you may wish to try J. Christopher's near the corner of Liberty & Abercorn in the Historic District. I enjoyed just taking in the ambience sitting at a counter spot.

I am a fan of J. Christopher's and eat a lot at their Atlanta locations. I'm glad they are in Savannah now.
But for Sunday brunch in Savannah, I've got to say that the Soho South Cafe is the best - IMO anyway - http://www.sohosouthcafe.com/
Great space with lots of art, good food and only in Savannah.
Here's their Sunday brunch menu - http://www.sohosouthcafe.com/BrunchMenu.html
Another option for lunch ANY day of the week is the cafe at the Jepson Center, next to the Telfair museum -

We were in a rush on our last visit and stopped there because we were going to the Telfair. OMG. The space is amazing - very modern, glass windows opening up to the beautiful square with live oaks and spanish moss and a view of the classical Telfair. The food was WONDERFUL - and large portions of it. I mentioned it to a friend who is a local and she knows the chefs, their history of restuarants and they cater a lot of local parties/fundraisers. Well known and respected by Savannah locals. It truly is a not so well known gem in the city.
One more favorite would be Papillote - http://www.papillote-savannah.com/
They serve at Sunday brunch as well. The place is amazing! It feels like you've stopped in at a French bistro. Very small, just a few tables but EVERYTHING is WONDERFUL.
